Ophrys Exalta Archipelagi

The archipelago Ofride (scientific name Ophrys Exalta subsp. Archipelago (Golz & HR Reinhard) Del Prete, 1988) is a herbaceous plant spontaneous Italy, in the family Orchidaceae.

Description

It is a herbaceous plant from 20 to 35 cm high. The organic form is bulbous geophytes (G bulb), which is a perennial plant that bears buds in place underground. During the season no opposing aircraft bodies and gems are in organs called underground bulbs or tubers, reserve facilities that annually produce new stems, leaves and flowers. Terrestrial orchid is because unlike other species, is not "epiphyte", that does not live at the expense of other plants of major proportions.

Roots

The roots are collated and secondary bulbs and consist of thin fibers radicals located at the top of the bulbs.

Leaves

There are both radical leaves lanceolate (ovate more or less) and forming a basal rosette, the kind that leaves Caulino amplessicaule. The leaf pages are arranged longitudinally parallel ribs (leaf type parallelinervie).

Inflorescence

The inflorescence is "indefinite" (without flower or apical politeia) type spiciforme with 3-8 flowers in a loose arrangement. These are placed in the armpits of bracts linear-lanceolate; are long as the ovary. The flowers are also resupinati, turned upside-down in which case the lower lip is aimed.

Flower

The flowers are hermaphrodite and zygomorphic irregularly, pentacyclic (perigonium to 2 whorls of tepals, two whorls of stamens (one only fertile - the other being atrophied), a whorl of the stylus).
