Fixed Lunaria

The solid honesty (LUNARIA rediviva) is a perennial plant from the cross of flowers family (Brassicaceae). The plant in the wild throughout Europe in damp woods and loamy soils.

Botanical description

The plant is 0.5 to 1 m tall. The leaves are heart shaped with a serrated edge. The lilac to white flowers are odorless and 2.5 to 3 cm. The flowers are grouped at the top of the upright stem. The flowering period is from April to June.

The hauwtjes in contrast to the honesty (Lunnaria annua) oblong. The fruits are flat, oblong and about 2.5 cm wide and 8 inches long. The plant prefers sunny to slightly shaded sites.
